Updating Your Profile
Change your name or how Inciteful Med tailors your experience.
Your User Profile in Settings controls how Inciteful Med greets you and how we tailor suggestions to your role.
Where to find it
Click your initials in the top-right of the app, then choose Settings. The first tab is User Profile.
What you can change
- First name and last name - used in greetings and on shared reports.
- User type - tells Inciteful Med who you are so suggestions and language fit your situation. Options:
- Patient - researching your own health.
- Caretaker - researching for a family member or someone you care for.
- Patient advocate - supporting clients through their healthcare journeys.
- Provider - clinician using Inciteful Med to support patient conversations.
Click Save changes when you're done. You'll see a green checkmark when the update is saved.
Changing your email
Your email address is tied to how you sign in and isn't editable from this page. If you need to change it, contact us.

Pick the role you'll use most often. Each patient profile you create is independent of your user type - see Switching between patient profiles.
