Deleting a Patient Profile

Permanently remove a patient and everything attached to them.

If you no longer need a patient profile, you can delete it. This is permanent - all records, research threads, and reports for that patient will be deleted along with the profile.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Account & Plan.
  2. Find the patient you want to delete.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the patient profile
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete Patient.

The confirmation dialog spells out exactly what will be removed before you confirm. There's no recovery once you click Delete Patient - the data is gone for good.

What gets deleted

  • The patient profile itself (name, relationship, notes)
  • Every medical record uploaded or imported for this patient
  • Every research thread and report tied to this patient
  • Any shared links pointing to those reports stop working

What stays

  • Your account and other patient profiles are unaffected.
  • Threads and records on other patient profiles are not touched.

Read-only profiles

You can delete a read-only profile the same way, and everything above applies. Deleting your active profile does not bring a read-only one back. Upgrading is what brings them back.

If you have a plan change queued and you delete the profile you chose to keep, we will ask you to choose again when the change takes effect.

See When a plan covers fewer profiles.

I just want to remove a single record or thread

You don't have to delete the whole profile.

I want to delete my entire account

Deleting one patient doesn't close your account. Please contact us to close and delete your account.
