Renaming a Research Thread

Give a thread a name that makes it easy to find later.

When you start a research thread, Inciteful Med picks a title based on your first question. You can rename it anytime to something more meaningful - especially helpful once you have several threads on similar topics.

Step-by-step

  1. In the left navigation, open the *** menu next to the thread name.
  2. Choose Rename.
  3. Type the new name and press Enter (or click Save).

The new name shows up immediately in the left nav and at the top of the thread.

Tips for naming threads

  • Lead with the condition - e.g. "afib options" - so threads sort logically.
  • Date stamps help if you have several follow-ups - "Pre-op questions, May 2026".
  • Keep names short. The left nav truncates long names.

Renaming doesn't change the thread's content

Only the title changes. Your messages, citations, and shared links all keep working.
